*snapshot* was created in response to a void in the queer social scene in March of 2004.  At its birth, lesbian parties lacked substance and quality and there seemed to be no place for the genderqueer or queers that didn’t necessarily identify as lesbians. The existing parties each had a theme and a specific clientele and the city felt very segregated.  We wanted to provide a space for everyone to come together - whether gay, transgender, straight, or still figuring it out - under the queer banner. We insist on quality music and open our doors to our local talents bringing forth art, film, performance, dance, music, and ultimately provide EXPOSURE.  Our goal is to expose the truth and beauty within us all while enjoying life, music, love and the people around us.
