*snapshot* is a weekly mixed queer party in the city featuring art.music.film.photography.performance.exposure. Located at Bar 13 in Union Square on Tuesday nights (MOVING TO THE DELANCEY ON NOVEMBER 18), *snapshot* attracts the most diverse crowd from all boroughs and gender-identities. We seek to showcase the talents of our crowd, our kids, ourselves, by throwing sexy, dirty, crazy parties soundtracked by some of the best dj's among us. Regardless of the theme on any given Tuesday, be it female breakdancers, rockers, hip hop dance competitions, liquid latex painting, live bands, breaking artists, or naked girls or trannies dancing on the bar, *snapshot* is the perfect reason to show up hungover at your job on Wednesday morning with vague memories of debauchery.

*snapshot* was created in response to a void in the queer social scene in March of 2004.  At its birth, lesbian parties lacked substance and quality and there seemed to be no place for the genderqueer or queers that didn’t necessarily identify as lesbians. The existing parties each had a theme and a specific clientele and the city felt very segregated.  We wanted to provide a space for everyone to come together, gay, lesbian, transgender, straight, bisexual, asexual, white, brown, black, yellow and purple.  We insist on quality music and open our doors to our local talents bringing forth art, film, performance, dance, music, and ultimately provide EXPOSURE.  Our goal is to expose the truth and beauty within us all while enjoying life, music, love and the people around us.
